Allan Smith is the founder and Director of Services at Business + Coaching and Consulting, where he offers his Organizational Development and Coaching expertise to individuals in career transitions, businesses, and non-profits.   He is a charter member of the Coach Consultants Consortium at Orgdyne Global Village (www.coachconsultantsconsortium.com), an international strategic partnership working to advance the field of coaching through research, webinars, and creative online seminars.

Recently, the Board of Governors of  the Institute of Career Certification International voted unanimously to approve Allan’s application to be a Certified Practitioner  Career Management  Professional.  Certification by the Institute is portfolio-based, requiring demonstration of proven professional experience and expertise.

With a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Missouri, Allan earned his Masters Degree from Washington University in an Interdisciplinary Program in Organizational Behavior.   He followed that with several years of doctoral studies.

Allan has had appointments as Instructor in Management and Organizational Psychology at Washington University and SIU at Edwardsville.  He also was Adjunct Professor at Webster University’s  Graduate School of Business in Human Resource Development.

Although Allan has worked in and conducted research in diverse settings such as a multinational Fortune 500 company,  public and private schools, owned four franchises, and served as President of several companies, his favorite work is coaching others to succeed in their career and business goals.
